  I want to alert folks that this practice has gone downhill since its merger with Inova. While the doctors are still good, the support staff are more into efficiency than caring and accommodating. You used to be able to talk reasonably with people. Now they're just in a hurry to shove you into some category rather than deal with you as an individual. They claim to be a concierge practice but the only thing that's "concierge" is their refusal to accept Medicare/Medicaid or to participate in any provider networks, not even Inova's Innovation Health. They used to offer nice touches like juice and crackers after bloodwork. Now all you can get is water. Corporate medicine as usual.

  I have been a patient of Dr. Steinmetz for 5 years. She cured a lifelong condition for me without pharmaceutical drugs. She believes in pharmaceuticals when appropriate but always starts with natural treatments. She is the perfect balance of Eastern & Western medicine. Even though I no longer live in the Wash DC area I still come back to see her once a year for my physical because I haven't found any doctor where I live that even comes close to her expertise.
