  I haven't had any experience with this optometrist herself, just her office, which is a total mess. I first visited this office in the fall of 2014 and saw the previous optometrist. I was searching for an optometrist near DC that doesn't charge a contact fitting fee (an absolute scam in my opinion) and this was the closest I could find. I had a good appointment: no fitting fee and a decent price for someone like me who didn't have insurance at the time. Plus they do Saturday appointments. However, when trying to schedule another appointment this spring (2016) I had the absolute worst experience. I had THREE appointments in a row cancelled. The first time the doctor had a personal emergency and the office had the decency to call me ahead of time. These things happen and I wasn't upset. My rescheduled appointment, however, fell on a day that had a bit of snow (not Snowzilla; just a minor snowfall) and the office didn't bother to open. They also didn't bother to inform their patients; I only found out by calling the Walmart Vision Center next door, who told me the office usually doesn't open when it snows. Awesome. I made a third appointment, this time on a Friday, and took the day off of work. I arrived at 9:50am for my 10am appointment to find the doors locked. The receptionist finally showed up to say that the doctor was having car problems and would be in around 10:30am. I assumed I had the first appointment at 10am, but the Walmart Vision Center next door had scheduled three appointments for 9am, forgetting that the office doesn't even open until 10am. That meant I had three people ahead of me and no doctor in sight. In the meantime, people kept arriving for their appointments, and the receptionist would check them in without informing them that the doctor was running late and they were very backed up. Terrible customer service in my opinion. By 11am there was still no doctor and, according to the receptionist, she hadn't even gotten her car jumped yet. Why in the world she didn't just grab an Uber and come into the office is beyond me. I took off around 11am because I was heading out of town and couldn't wait around. The receptionist asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no, this was the third time I had to reschedule and I wouldn't be coming back. I thought that would be the end of my experience with that office. Then a few days later, I called to make an appointment in DC with a private eye doctor. When running my insurance they found out that the Alexandria office had submitted a claim for the exam that never happened! I called the Alexandria office and receptionist said she would cancel it -- no apologies were offered, btw. This is an absolute mess of an establishment that doesn't give two sh*ts about its customers. Don't waste your time.
