- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪30 year veteran living and visiting from Japan. Told by a few doctors I needed cataract surgery. When I finally got to DC and had a little time I googled for the best ophthalmologist in the DC area and Dr. Elbash's name came up. Contacted their office, explained my short timeline and they made a consultation appointment with me. I met Dr. Elbash and was immediately struck by his kindness and ability to explain everything to me in layman terms. He wasn't doing any surgery the week I visited, but he made an exception to do my surgery because of the short timeframe I had before returning to Japan. Professional, kind, caring and great bedside manners. Many of these characteristics are stated by others and that is why I chose him. Unbelievable doctor and all went as planned. I now have 20/20 vision in my right eye where before I couldn't see even the big letters on the eye chart. Don't hesitate if you need cataract surgery.
